This sugar cube-shaped house sits on top of the cliff in the upper town of Arcos de la Frontera, one of the famous `white villages of Andalusia`, though Arcos is a town, and it really has breathtaking views. The house is built on four levels reminiscent of an English town house, yet full of Spanish features. Entrance and an in-house garage on ground level, then, on the first floor, the living room which takes up the whole width of the house, has a beautiful Moorish-inspired open fireplace (not that you`ll desperately need it in Andalusia!) and, already from here, fine views to lake Arcos, the all-white lower town of Arcos, the Guadalete river, the Grazalema mountains and the surprisingly green Andalusian countryside. The lovely fitted kitchen is made of solid wood and a glass-door gives access to a small patio and there is also a downstairs toilet. From the patio a terracotta stairs lead to the second floor which comprises the large master bedroom with a huge fitted wordrobe and... oh my God... the views... I call this `The Room With a View`, and you`ll see why for yourself... Then there is a cozy smaller bedroom and a large bathroom made to look even bigger thanks to a mirrored wall. Another terracotta stairs lead then to a balcony made of blocks of glass surrounded, almost like a conservatory, by a wall of glass giving access to the roof terrace which covers the entire house and is guaranteed to leave your guests speachless, stunned by the truly magnificent views. Double glazed windows and doors, unusual in Andalusia, extensive furniture and even plants complete this interesting house.
Alta Vista, the name of the house, is an up and running holiday let giving potential buyers the chance to stay in the very place they may be interested in buying and, should they buy it, could continue to run Alta Vista as a gorgeous, profitable holiday let.
